Kidding season starts!

Most of our does are due mid-March through early April, so there is still time to reserve your buckling!

We are proud of our girls, and pleased to see them improving year after year.  Hoping for great things in 2021!

Sweet Flowers Farm is located in the Piedmont region of North Carolina, 30 minutes west of Raleigh.  We purchased our first dairy goats in 1984 for a 4H project and fell in love with them. With the N.C. State Fair only 30 minutes away, we quickly got into showing, eventually graduating from the youth to the open show and becoming more focused on our breeding program. We have sire lines from top herds such as Cherry Glen, Iron-Rod, Kickapoo Valley, Nodaway, and Bearly.  We regularly participate in linear appraisal, and our herd is tested annually for CAE (all of our animals test negative).  We are also beginning the process of being certified TB/Bruscellosis free.  The herd is managed by Cheryl and Montarie Lanier.

Hoping shows are on again in 2021!

2020 was definitely not what we expected! Although we were disappointed that we couldn't show this year, we took advantage of the break to rest and refocus for 2021. We purchased some exciting new stock this year, including 2 junior herd sires and a doeling from Olentangy Alpines in Washington and a junior herdsire from Tempo Aquila Alpines in Oregon. Both the Tempo buckling and one of the Olentangy bucklings were chosen to the ADGA young sire development program, so we are confident our breeding program is headed in the right direction.
